Penfield Hope leadership is committed to making 1771 a permanent home for the benefit of our clients. Currently, we are reaching out to our dedicated supporters to join us in this effort. The immediate need:
The end of the 2-year lease on 1771 Penfield Road is fast approaching in October 2023. The Hope Board has reached a purchase agreement with the owners.
With a purchase price of $285,000, we are committed to raising $150,000 by September 1, 2023.
With the funds raised, we can close on 1771 Penfield Road in October and keep the vital services of Hope flourishing throughout the very busy Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays seasons.
Why purchase 1771 Penfield Road?
1771 Penfield Road (Route 441), as the current site of Penfield Hope, provides stellar visibility and accessibility for clients and the community.
SInce moving from St. Joseph’s Church basement to 1771 in January 2022, the number of Hope clients served has increased 25% and client visits have nearly doubled (including many Ukrainian refugees since the start of the war in Ukraine).
Our walk-through food pantry provides clients with dignity and the ability to make their own food choices for their families.
