We engage with clients by listening with compassion to understand and serve their needs. Family and housing stability is a priority.
We seek to further the St. Joseph’s Church commitment to sharing the abundance of the community where it is needed most whether in Penfield, the surrounding towns, or the City of Rochester.
We advocate for the needs of Penfield residents, especially regarding food insecurity and affordable housing.
We provide the following services:- Assistance with food, household items, and practical services.
- Budgeting support including some rent and other financial assistance.
- New children’s clothing and diapers.
- School supplies and backpacks.
- Christmas giving help including winter jackets, clothes, books, games, toys.
- Make referrals to other agencies or services that can offer additional support.
Our vision is always to enter into meaningful relationships with Hope clients. We seek to foster pathways to family and housing stability. We maintain a welcoming, judgment-free zone – all are encountered with compassion, hospitality, and care. Penfield Hope services grow in response to evolving community needs.
