Children's Needs

Penfield Hope is committed to serving the needs of Penfield families and children in the Penfield schools. How we can help:

• Clothing--new donated basic items are organized in small wardrobe shopping bags by size and season as well as seasonal jackets -- summer clothing now available for pick-up by appointment;
• Winter Jackets -- jackets are needed in early Fall to provide for children during the cold winter months. Sizes newborn to 14/16. Boys, Girls. Drop off at St. Joseph's Church, west entrance, 43 Gebhardt Road, 9 - 5pm, or at Penfield Hope during our client service hours.
• Diapers and wipes--working with the Junior League of Rochester Diaper Bank, we stock all sizes of diapers and Pull-Ups as well as baby wipes.
• Infant formula--we stock a limited supply. Let us know your child's specific needs and we will do our best to provide it for you. Some new moms may be eligible for WIC to supplement children's nutritional needs. Learn about WIC.
• School supplies--we provide backpacks and school supplies at the start of each school year. If your child has a particular need during the school year, let us know! School Backpack program registration takes place in early summer.
• New baby essentials--we stock gently used items and can refer to other agencies for changing tables, pack & plays, bassinets, high chairs, strollers, etc.
